Assemble with Care is a short and simple narrative - puzzle game, where you play as Maria, and go around fixing broken items. Throughout the course of the game, not only do you fix objects, but you also uncover broken relationships, which are healed over time. All of these moments are showcased through beautiful illustrations, that will definitely get you immersed in the game.

To give an introduction to the gameplay, the story is divided into several chapters. With simple interactions, broken items are fixed. The fixing has multiple steps, such as disassembling objects, gluing the parts, connecting the wires to the right port, and lots of unscrewing. These steps may seem overwhelming, but they are not. In the picture below, I was fixing a neon sign. Since you remove the parts on your own, you kind of get into the rhythm of it, and eventually learn.

The puzzles come in the form of everyday objects, such as a music box, a camera, etc. These objects are priceless and simple, hence the nostalgia comes into play.

The narrative revolves around valuing other's problems, observing it from a different perspective. The game focuses on two different stories, one following the bitterness amongst the sisters, and the other between a father and his daughter.

From being a stranger in town to building contacts, and eventually solving the misunderstandings amongst these characters, these actions end up providing immense satisfaction.

I've been recently on a hunt to try out different games, and this game just fell in my hands at the right time. I genuinely enjoyed all the chapters, and it's narrative. The learning curve, and characters, and immersion, all fit in properly. So if you're looking for a heartwarming experience with a mix of puzzles, this game is for you. It's different, nostalgic, sweet, and may interest both gamers and non-gamers!
